Do’s & Don’ts of Fundraising

Going along with the topic from last week’s blog, this is another about the dos and don’ts of fundraising. Would you like to play the game again? Which one is a do and which one is a don’t?

  • Judge others on their level of giving
  • Start Local

Do you have your answer? Pretty simple right? The do is “start local” the don’t is “don’t judge others on their level of giving”. Starting a campaign can be difficult, but you have to start somewhere so start locally. Starting small helps you build a foundation and experience so you can take your campaign state wide or even global down the road. “Don’t judge others on their level of giving”, this is very important because it reminds you that anything donated is more than you had before so appreciate what you get from your supporters and let them know you appreciate it as well.
