It can be scary to be the person in charge of caring for someone who has endured an injury, but here are a few simple steps to help you know what to do if you’re in that situation. First, check to see if the person is breathing. Second, do not move the injured person unless there are other risks such as a fire. Third, if a seizure occurs turn the person on their side and remove all objects around them that could cause injury. NEVER PUT ANYTHING IN THE MOUTH OF A PERSON HAVNG A SEIZURE. Remember, if there is a noticeable injury or the person is unconscious 9-1-1 should be contacted.
